System Device Monitor

The System Device Monitor is a tool that you can use to monitor the activity of all of your IMPRES devices. You can access the System Device Monitor by clicking on the System Device Monitor in the Navigation Panel.

The System Device Monitor shows a tree with the name of each computer that is running IMPRES Battery Fleet Management and/or Radios and Batteries if there is any battery data that is collected via Radio. Beneath each computer node, a node with the name and firmware version of each IMPRES device that is connected to the computer is displayed. Beneath each device node, a node is displayed showing the Pocket Number (if the device has more than one pocket) and the Serial Number of each battery inserted into a pocket of the device.

The System Device Monitor tree has the following controls as well as a context menu that will display when you right click a node in the tree:

Control Description
Collapse Button and Collapse Context Menu Item A Collapse Button is displayed on computer and device nodes when the node displays child nodes. A Collapse Context Menu Item is also displayed when you right click on the node. Clicking on the Collapse Button or Context Menu Item will hide all child nodes
Expand button and Expand Context Menu Item An Expand Button is displayed on computer and device nodes when the node contains child nodes that are hidden. An Expand Context Menu Item is also displayed when you right click on the node. Clicking on the Expand Button or Context Menu Item will display all child nodes
Device Update Context Menu Item A Device Update Context Menu Item is displayed when you right click on a device. Clicking on the Device Update Context Menu Item will pop up the Device Update Dialog
Open Context Menu Item The Open Context Menu Item is displayed when you right click on a battery node. Clicking on the Open Context Menu Item will display the battery in the Battery Information Dialog. You can also click on the battery node to open the Battery Information Dialog
Collapse All Context Menu Item A Collapse All Context Menu Item is displayed when you right click any empty space on the tree view. Clicking on the Collapse All Context Menu Item will hide all child nodes
Expand All Context Menu Item An Expand All Context Menu Item is displayed when you right click any empty space on the tree view. Clicking on the Expand All Context Menu Item will display all child nodes when the tree view contains child nodes that are hidden
Battery Search A Battery Search Context Menu Item is displayed when you right click any empty space on the tree view. Clicking on the Battery Search Context Menu Item will pop up Battery Search Dialog

Note: Since IMPRES devices are not always able to determine when a battery is removed from a device pocket, the System Device Monitor may show that a battery is inserted into a device even after it has been removed.

indicates possible partial incorrect battery data, This could be cause by poor battery to charger contact (remove and reinsert battery), or defective battery data.

indicates that the battery is below the Service Life Health (%).
